Proactiv body wash works because it contains 2% salicylic acid, which is an active acne fighting ingredient in many topical acne solutions.

To put it simply: Proactiv's body wash is proven to treat acne lesions. You should know that there are other ingredients in this product, but these ingredients don't take away from the fact that this product works.

Best ways to use proactiv body wash

For facial cleansing, pour a small amount into palm and apply to dampened skin. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Pat dry. For body cleansing, rinse body with water. Pour a generous amount of cleanser into washcloth and apply over entire body area. Rinse skin thoroughly. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application use.

As with most of their other products Proactiv prefers to sell the Deep Cleansing Wash as part of a larger kit. It’s not available on its own from Proactiv body wash website.
